I first met potter Takahiro Ishii not as a potter, but when I went to Hakone to see him after he introduced me to someone who knew a lot about wildflowers. Wildflowers and mountain hydrangeas. He taught me how to grow and appreciate beautiful grasses that might be called "weeds. He is one of those men who coexist with nature.

This is a display shelf made of old tools and wood that he makes himself when he exhibits his works. It is simple, but the wood mouth is dug out, each clasp is different, and there are some specifications where the broken parts are fixed.

Ishii-san, who mainly makes tea utensils, has created this display cabinet for the first time in our store, and we would like to recommend it for modern living.

While it is difficult to find a Shinto altar that fits in with modern interior design, this is a decorative altar that can also be used as a Shinto altar.
