You might not recognize the name Nemunoki, but it’s actually a familiar plant among houseplant enthusiasts—known widely as "Everfresh".

When grown as a wild mountain plant, though, it transforms into something that looks completely different.
This popular indoor plant takes on a graceful, bonsai-like appearance when raised in a more traditional, naturalistic style.
And the flowers—absolutely adorable.

While typical Nemunoki flowers are usually white or pink, the one we discovered in Gotemba blooms a rare scarlet red.
The flowers wither shortly after blooming, so don’t miss the brief, magical moment of full bloom.

Compared to other mountain wildflowers, it’s quite hardy and easy to care for.
Place it in a sunny spot with good air circulation.
It’s heat-tolerant, but not cold-resistant, so we recommend bringing it indoors during winter.
