December 7-20 is the heavy snowfall.
The winter solstice is from December 21 to January 4.
Since the Winter Solstice falls right in between the New Year's period, this month's 24-Seasonal-Time Goshukaya is a combination of the Great Snowfall and the Winter Solstice.
The winter solstice is the longest night of the year.
The summer and winter solstices are considered important seasonal milestones not only in the 24 solar terms, but also throughout the world.

Taisetsu, as the name suggests, is a time when a lot of snow falls.
However, it still has the atmosphere of autumn continuing rather than the feeling of winter.
Summer is ending longer and beginning earlier, and the plant life is changing. It is no longer unusual to talk about flowers and plants that we used to see every year declining due to changes in temperature.
From the human point of view, there is a movement to protect endangered species and rare plants, but from the global point of view, plants that change due to environmental changes may be considered a natural transition.
However, it is sad to see the plants we have grown accustomed to becoming distant from us.
I have bundled flowers that have long held a meaning of celebration, keeping in mind that in the future, the ordinary will no longer be the norm. I don't know if I will be able to display them every year from now on, but I am grateful that I was able to meet them again this year.
After the heavy snowfall, the winter solstice is the season when the nights feel long, and once we get over this, spring is just around the corner.
These are flowers for your home at the end of the year.
