Starting on March 20, Shunbun (Spring Equinox) marks the midpoint of spring according to the 24 Solar Terms. On this day, daylight and nighttime are nearly equal in length. In Buddhism, this is considered an important day, and in Japan, it is observed as "Ohigan", a time to express gratitude to our ancestors.

Within Shunbun, around March 25, comes the Shichijūni-kō (72 Micro-Seasons) phase called "Sakura Hajimete Hiraku" (Cherry Blossoms Begin to Bloom).

Last year, the cherry blossoms bloomed precisely during this period, though in previous years, they seemed to be blooming earlier and earlier. Hoping that this year’s cherry blossoms will bloom at just the right time again, we have prepared a simple arrangement of cherry branches for your home during the Spring Equinox.

There are many varieties of cherry blossoms, each with its own unique characteristics. This time, we will deliver a selection of different types so you can enjoy their diversity.
