One sip and you are on an enchanting trip to the forest. And then drink it and feel like you are taking a bath in the forest.
How about a set of "Forest Gin," an aromatic wood liquor made by the Japan Souki Research Institute that makes effective use of unused Japanese wood, and flowers as a gift or for home use?
More than 60% of the ingredients are made from thinned cedar, cypress, and oak trees, and 100% of the botanical ingredients are domestic wild aromatic trees, a first in Japan.

    Raw materials
Japanese cypress, Japanese cedar, Japanese oak, Japanese umbrella pine, Japanese knapweed, Japanese knapweed, Chinese juniper, and Japanese karaki (Karaki)

    Background
This project aims not only to explore new tastes by using wood for food, but also to revitalize the Japanese forestry industry by finding new avenues for thinned wood, which is currently a problem in the forests that cover 70% of Japan's land area, and to realize fair trade by purchasing wood from forestry workers at a fair price higher than the market price. The project also aims to revitalize Japan's forestry industry.

    Taste
Forest Gin gives you an overwhelming "forest feeling" as if you were taking a deep breath in a deep fresh green forest. It has a fresh blue aroma from the branches and leaves of the Japanese cypress, a gentle fragrance reminiscent of cedar apples, and a sour aftertaste from kouyamaki, a sacred tree used in Shinto rituals on Koyasan. Hibyakushin and moushasashi function as Japanese juniper berries, enhancing the spicy and gorgeous flavor.

    Effects
Studies have shown that the aromatic component called "phytoncide" in trees has a tranquilizing effect. When rats are exposed to the scent of trees during sleep, brain waves called alpha waves, which appear when they are sleeping comfortably, increase by 20 to 30%. Research also reports that the smell of wood suppresses mental perspiration, which appears under stress, and stabilizes the heart rate, resulting in restful sleep.

    How to drink
Mix 1 gin with 4 parts carbonated water and simply enjoy the aroma of the fragrant trees.
Mix 1 gin with 4 parts cold green tea and enjoy the deep green aroma.
You can enjoy it in various ways.
