Jessica Niello: Jessica Niello is a ceramic artist and painter based in Oakland, California. With a deep knowledge of both Eastern and Western techniques, and a pursuit of functional beauty and simplicity, she draws inspiration from the scenery she sees and the transitions in her daily life. Recently, she collaborated with Ramen Shop, a popular noodle bar in Oakland, to produce tableware. He has also been active in the group exhibition "The Possible" at the Berkeley Art Museum.

Jessica's work ranges from ceramics to oil painting, which she came to know through Sam at Ramen Shop. I was so taken by her style that when TRUNK HOTEL opened on Cat Street, I was put in charge of selecting the artwork for the interior of the hotel, and I had no hesitation in selecting her work for the wall art in the restaurant of TRUNK HOTEL. I met Jessica when I visited her atelier at that time and came across this necklace. This piece was exhibited together with her ceramic works (plates, bowls, etc.) when we held an exhibition of her works in Little Jingumae, probably around 2015, shortly after the opening of the Jingumae store.
