Most Christmas trees are sold in a “nemaki” state — with their roots wrapped in cloth for easy transport.
The Baiorecia variety, however, arrives as a live seedling with soil, not root-wrapped.
This rare species comes from Manabe Garden in Hokkaido, and is meant to be enjoyed year-round — not just during Christmas.

The true beauty of this fir reveals itself in early summer, when new shoots emerge in a stunning silvery-blue hue.
Resilient to both Japan’s hot summers and cold winters, Baiorecia grows slowly, about 3–4 cm per year, meaning each mature tree has taken over a decade to reach its current size.

With its graceful, bonsai-like form, this tree brings a touch of Japanese elegance while serving beautifully as a Christmas tree or garden centerpiece for years to come.
